View Full Version : Expertise - the head coach!!!!

6 mins to go in the 3rd.. refs dont call what we see to be a foul!! two hands in the back, taken out one of our players, then call a foul on what we see to be a clean steal.
Head Coach gets a T, being his 2nd as we got a T for dunking in the warm ups.. and yet the other team didnt!!! ( no one even hung off the hoop!!)

so anyway, Coach gets his T, his 2nd, then gets a disqualifying foul to go with it!!! ( he wasnt happy)

leaving me to take over!!!

** we ended up getting blown out by one of the best ABA teams in the country, but b4 all the shit went down ( they had 12 foul shots in a row on the score sheet) we were going really well and our crowd loved it, so it was pretty good game actually
Edit: Tidy up punctuation, spelling (4 times, i know, i bet i still missed something)

Hope you've got all the losing coach's platitudes ready. If in doubt ....just bag the refs

no need, i tihnk the public, oppositon and general spectators saw it for themselves.

opposition is going to inbound the ball, and they are like, no you have 2 shots... some times, it was confusing to know what was happening

you know when a team has 12 ft's with no rebounders at all, all in around the same minute of play, something interestings going on.

As a head coach, are you allowed to publicly criticise the refs like you have just done?

Just as a side note, the technical foul for hanging on the ring should have been assessed to the individual player if it occurred within 20 minutes of the game's scheduled start - unless the player was also the coach. Furthermore, you guys should have received ample warning prior to being handed a tech foul.

I don't if it makes much difference but just thought I would clear it up.

ah ok, so does that mean, our coach was wrongfully ejected.. lol.. though he got a disqualifing foul aswell ( but if he ahs T's on him, can he be given a disqualifying foul, as he has already been disqualified)

how many fouls did he receive in total (not counting the one from the whistle nazi for hanging on the ring).

He recieved one technical in the game, and the referee showed the disqualificating sign.. I cant remember him signling a disqualificating foul to the bench, but ill check the video.

the scoresheet has 2 techs and a disqualifying foul next to the coaches name.

I am curious, as to this: Can a disqualifed coach, be given a disqualifing foul after he has already been disqualified.

No.

Because if he received another foul after being disqualified, you would have worn it as the assistant.

The scoresheet is incorrect. It should read C2 and C2. And thats all.

Yeah, as two techs on the bench is a automatic disqualification..
and then as assistant, i get 3!!!!

well, the rule is he gets two personals, or 3 total (if on the asst, subs etc..)

you get the same. So if YOU (personally) wear two techs, you're out too!

ah ok, well the first was on the bench, then a T on him, then a disqualifying foul.. so the score sheet should read b2, c2, d2 ( is it d2)

Here is a full breakdown..

Bench Technical charged to the coach during warm up period,

After argueign a foul call with 6 mins to go in the 3rd, he was given a T and the disqualifying foul sign shown, and then the referee pointed his finger to the door,

No Disqualifying foul was actaully told to the bench ( the scorer has actaully put a D2 foul on the head coach though)

So The Coach was thrown out on one technical..

which was for loudly argueing : That was crap, you call that and you dont call two hand in the back, thats crap

He was actually disqualified before he kicked the chair we found out today..

So the scoresheet is totally incorrect, and the coach was sent on one T, ah it just gets more interesting each day...
