Wassup with the updates?

Whats going on with FNBL? Since the old site died, there has been little interest in the FNBL from any of the players or even Tim for that matter.

1. No listings of our teams for us to consider changes;
2. No link to the league standings if we want to check 'em out;
3. No discussion, no trades....
4. Locking of teams for rounds???

At the risk of pissing people off, but frankly not caring anyway, ARE WE WAITING FOR A DATA MERGE?? :?

Yes of course we are CoT.
Mr T (Rich) runs this out of the goodness of his own heart, I certainly don't expect him to go back and list everyone's teams for us. We could all do it ourselves, but one of two weeks isn't really going to make that much a difference. TRich has already started a thread to let him know if you want any players changes, but it looks like most of us were happy to leave our team the same way.

There has been a link to the updated team positions this week.

I'm cool with everything that's happening at the moment (and all of the other 14 people or whatever it is seem to be too), and happy to wait for the data merge (which by the way is the responsibility of another person who is doing all of this out of sheer kindness). If you were paying for either the use of the boards, or the service provided by either of these two fine lads, then yes, i'd understand your gripe, but you're not!

If you're that worried about it, how about you volunteer to lend someone a hand, instead of just complaining.

Thanks gretch, at least someone seemingly still looks at this forum. With the last previous post (by TRich) being on Friday @ 3.05am, I was beginning to wonder. :)

I'd be happy to start a thread listing teams all over again, but if we're waiting for a data merge and it thus being re-posted anyway, it's pointless isn't it?

I wasn't aware that we WERE waiting for someone to merge data - no one replied to my last thread about it with a meaningful answer. :? Thanks for clarifying that.

I didn't expect to be remotely interested in this game once it started, but it's drawn me in and i'm eager to win promo to the big boys/girls league for next year. Sorry if my eager-beaver slash *rude* nature is pissing anyone off. :wink:

I think Gretchen summed it up pretty well, but I think you need to gain a bit of perspective CoT. This is not a professional competition, we aren't playing for sheep stations, and it is only done for a bit of fun. This does mean that will be times when other things have to take priority (eg. work, gf, family, upcoming exams). It would be nice not to be hassled every time a couple of days goes by without me posting.

As you would have noticed, things have been a bit turbulent on this site the last couple of weeks. I was waiting for all the other old threads to merge over. If this doesn't happen, I will set up the new threads. Until then, sit tight and PM me any changes you would like to make. I can assure you they will be taken into account.

I'm glad someone else said that. I kinda got the impression from the competitiveness of the draft process and the trash talk now and then that it was as important as breathing. :lol:

I had chosen first in league 2 (Horvath) and am pretty sure I was up to 5th again after all the picks had gone down. :?

Who in league 2 has picked up a player that wasn't part of the draft? We should be able to work it from that. I'm pretty sure we can work out the draft order - Old Schoolers were first (Rillie), Grovedale were second (Dwight), SJ was 4th (Jason Smith), I was 10th (Black).

I'm pretty sure it went Horvath and then Ballinger in the waiver selections. Rosell Ellis was taken high up too.

CoT, I have no idea. At the time I just submitted my list of players to TRich, and ended up with Ballinger at the end of the period. I remember thinking I was lucky to get him, because he was pretty high on my list, probably 2nd after Horvath. Guess no one else wanted him.

From memory, a heap of players were available at once for League 2... Ballinger managed to slip down the list to LV. Remeber not everyone puts in bids.
