Found this on and ESPN article about another UConn player and was wondering what the story is - are they still waiting for him to be academically eligible? And at what point (without playing a game) did he move from Aussie recruit to Aussie superstar?

"Calhoun said it's because he wants Robinson to fully earn his way back onto the team. That UConn also doesn't have a scholarship yet -- as it awaits word on Aussie superstar Ater Mojak -- also might have something to do with it."

How about we actually wait until he does something on the court before sprouting that he's "made it"

i didnt ask for your nitpicking coachpete. for a player like him to even get that far is terrible. he should be sitting on the bench in a local div 3 mens comp somewhere.

Lets give the boy a chance before writing him off. I'd love to see him succeed, but if he doesn't, at least he had a chance to give it a crack on a gun UConn team.

I'm sure UCONN Coach Jim Calhoun knows what he's doing and what he's getting with Majok. He's been coaching in college for over 30 years, won an NCAA title and coached countless numbers of his athletes to go on to the NBA. Majok must have something (or plenty- we'll soon see).

Good luck to the kid.

Didn't Justin Brown play on UConn's championship winning team a while back?

BM - you are right - Justin Brown was on the Uconn team that won the '99/00 NCAA Division 1 Championship. He played just the 11 games that season and averaged 1.2ppg in 2.1 minutes of game time!

IMO, I think Majok will do a bit better than Justin Brown.
