Hey Guys

Hey Guys, Im moving to Sydney from Adelaide next month and looking to play in a competition with a pretty good standard of basketball (probably just below reserves level). Anyone got any recommendations? Living in the inner west suburbs if that helps. Kind of looking for a club rather than a social team but any advice would be great.

What height and position?

Most ABA and State League teams would just about be wrapping up trials and selections but you can always push your way in if you've got the goods.

With the larger population, I think you'll find that most associations have Premier League or A grade social comps which although social in nature are still relatively competitive enough to keep you fit for reps off-season.

Inner West...

Bankstown Bruins- Stadium at Condell Park

Sydney Comets- stadium at Alexandria

Parramatta Wildcats- stadium at Auburn

Norths Bears- stadium at Crows Nest- over the bridge but could be close enough depending on where you are in the Inner West (huge catchment)

im about 180cm and have been playing point guard for my team. Was thinking I might contact one of the ABL squads and see if I can at least train with them, and maybe join a social team as well. Out of shape from the layoff over the silly season, need to shape up again (like most of us i imagine). Thanks for your help guys.

Having said that, our Monday night Senior Competition is one of the best in Sydney, even if we are on the outskirts of the "Inner West" :lol: 8)

What are the game times on Bankstown Mondays? I'm looking for a change and would be happy to play Mondays there if anyone needs a midget guard.

Mondays are 6:40, 7:50 & 9:00pm.
