No...if they're not replied to for a set period of time they fall off the forum.

It seems that Other Australian is not considered important so is limited to a single page of thread topics which at present means there is no thread shown in this topic with a latest post prior to December 2008....not exactly ancient history.
I can understand the need to save storage costs by eliminating old threads & accept that this section gets less priority than the NBL forum but I think our other leagues are more deserving of space on an Australian basketball forum than World, Battlegrounds, FNBL or even Coaches Corner. If space is at a premium, why does fantasy NBL discussion need 12 pages of threads, the oldest of which has had no posts since 2004 - in fact, the oldest thread on its front page has not been touched since September (vs December here) so it's obviously a slower moving forum with less interest than Other Australian.
Perhaps a rethink of priorities is needed.
Yes.
Lots of what I would consider valuable stuff gets lost.
I understand the last time this question went round - and it goes round regularly - even Gary Gunner - a previous big critic of this loss of info - after what appeared a PM from Derek - said he understood why it had to happen.
Well I don't understand.
And exactly as the previous comment - it makes no sense.

I actually thought I was keeping stuff here a bit longer- it's deleting things that don't get viewed in 30 days.
I've changed that to 365 now- anything not viewed for a year drops off the forum. I don't think this forum generates enough traffic that that will worry me too much. :)

Yes thankyou Derek - sorry it took so long for me to notice your reply.
The only problem is I seem to have run out of content for the meanwhile.
