The 17 men and women divisions on the first day's results indicated a coming week, short on teams and short on quality.
The four winning WOMENS teams on day #1 accumulated 387 points while the losers struggled to total together just 132 points.
The 17 men has only 6 teams of which 2 are token Kiwis (best description.) Undoubtably there will be some tough games during the week intermingled with an occasional thrashing of those from the Shaky Isle.
The PCS is billed as a development tournament but at the under 17 level, coaches must question the value in development and the players the value for money ($1000 each) For the Kiwi players its shaping up to be a long week.
Still Port Macquarie is a quality holiday destination
