The U20 Nationals are less than a month away up here in Townsville- if you'll be in town and you can assist with stats/scorebench/other duties, drop me a PM.
Opening day of the tournament is February 15.

Should be a very good tourny ,you would have to place Vic as favourites & QLD as the 2nd favourite this game in particular should be a huge matchup with the amount of kids at the AIS on display ,
QLD have - Page,Motum,Young,Salecich & Bairstow - Also Blanchfield who was ther last year
Vic have -Delladova,Brokhoff, Also Vandeberg and Orr who were there last year
But in saying this every team on their day can win it WA to be the dark horse
My pick the Vics, have a number of talented players to come in and as previous Nationals always well prepared and well coached .

Can somebody tell me the rosters for each team?
Which states participate?
How long does it go for?
Is there a site to follow live stats and get boxscores?
Any info would be appreciated

I think a few of the women who could have strengthened the team may have moved to Hawksbury (if you know what I mean)

Not a bad looking team especially the first 5 names mentioned have all represented the OZ u/19s last year ,have always been a talented team but just have not put it all together at the Nationals .Under coach Froling wil be a tough team to compete with ,but i still think the Vics will be the team to beat again.

Don't know him. What spot does he play?
He is a tall 3 man with a large wing span. About 6'6. He used to jump out of the building but has had quite a few ankle injuries lately. Great shooter aswell.

Fair enough...... Mullan, Lopez, McPhee and Sepokas are all 2/3 types that have made it in front of him, though only Mullan would be as big. Like I said.....don't know him so can't really comment too much but those four are all decent players who've either made State in 16's/18's or been on the fringe.

Yeh makes sense. Always the players are going to be good when making the state team and he has had to adjust to injuries... Just was curious to replace him. Thanks!

I would have said MacBeath is a 4/5-man, which puts him up against Harris-Tunks or Compton (and he certainly isn't better than either of them).
I don't know who the other 'bigs' are in the team so can't comment on his ability versus the others.

Really? Nah he can shoot aswell as a guard and dribble just as good too. He is just tall so typical in Aust we try make them play as a 4 man or even 5. Either way im sure they picked the best team. He'll still be in the squad if injuries happen so if he gets in later i hope he does well.

Now that the first day's worth of results is up, that should tell you a bit more about the team lineups. :)
Victoria, NSW and Queensland won their men's and women's openers. Other winners were WA (men) and SA (women).

Two questions
What happened to NSW Metro in ID Men? Couldn't they field a team?
Harris-Tunks hasn't hit the court yet in the Men's U20 GF - is he fit?
Qld are currently romping away with this game after a slow start.

Yeah, he Did Not Play (Coach's Decision) although he was in uniform- he couldn't go.
Queensland won the men's tournament; Queensland guard Jorden Page was named tournament MVP. Victoria cruised in the women's final over South Australia, but SA's Tess Madgen was their MVP.
