WNBL Salary Cap

Just want to know if the WNBL has a salary cap? Do all the players get paid? Not after individual salaries but just want to know what their salary cap is if they have one. Would a bench player at the end of the bench get paid?

No there is no Salary cap in the WNBL and a lot players do get some form of payment although it would vary between teams and some would get a lot more than others. There is also an amateur contract which satisfys NCAA requirements.

one would think that the girls that are 11-12 on the bench in home games are not paid as most are probably development players like in the case of Bulleen's Lucy Dawson- it really is a feel good moment for the team when a young dev player gets on and scores! and the Rangers Hope Terdich, who seems to have been around for a while without doing too much- mind you still very young and with plenty of time to make things happen.

Pretty much the entire Lynx squad don't get paid... Doccy may get paid, not sure but I think so. Last year Wilson and Richards got paid, but that was it as well.
