So pre-season is slowly coming to it's midway stage and with most problems solved in my opinion I believe we need to develop some serious attitude.
Now I'm not talking about an ego or whatever. I'm talking about a winners attitude. Well you might say winning may be a good start but not so much that, but a real attitude of mongrel and no mercy (yes this is a basketball and not rugby team).
The downside of this may be getting called for more fouls, however being exponentially smaller than our south and west Auckland peers I think that's unlikely to happen anyway.
How and what would I apply to training, to make players more hungry to grab that offensive rebound, be brave and couraegeous and fear nothing? At the moment my teams a bit of show ponies, a bunch of poor mans Shane Heals with the added AND 1 array of tricks and dunks.
What do you guys do to build your teams confidence?
