Seen this done by Stephen Jackson in the NBA, some of the classy imports in the NZ NBL (don't know how they ended up there) and also tried it on a video game.

Pivoting to create space for the jumpshot.

I can do it myself and heck it's cool but how do you teach it and explain it properly?

Mmmmm, sounds like it would take alot of time and alot of balance, something i don't have. it does sond like a good skill to have and i think it would be great if people learnt it. But it makes you wonder ho much time it would take to actually pivot then get back into shooting mode and shoot, when people are moving off the ball. Good one on one move but i wouldn't stress it in juniors becuase the players might use it too much instead of passing.

T-mac is the absolute king of that move.

I'm not planning to teach it to the team but just to a couple of players I coach individually.

I believe if mastered right, you can get yourself knocking down shots bang bang simply because of the rhythm you're creating.

This product kind of sums it up:

Training in the Triple Threat - 34 Ways to Create Space - Ganon Baker

This is very vague and poorly done, but they give you an idea:

Ganon covered this really well in his recent clinics out here. Lethal it's basically teaching players how to use both inside/outside feet for forward or reverse pivots and pull throughs depending on how the defence plays you on the catch. It'd take too long to write it all up for you. I'm available for clinics for $1000 bucks plus expenses ( That's what Ganon charges)
