The Lynx have signed WNBA draftee Danielle Campbell for the upcomeing season, she will join re-signed players Kate Malpass, Brit Morgan, Carli Boyanich, Mel Moyle and Sam Norwood in September. Other players I would like to see reurn are Mel Marsh, Ash Gilmore, Kaye Tucker and Em Pass. I think in recent years height and the center position has been one of our weakest points and the 197 cm ( think thats right) Campbell should help with both

Not quite, WNBA lists her height as 6'4", 193cm

Yep 193cm, But her wingspan is over 6.5 feet, so she has long arms and should play above her height. This is a huge signing for Perth and a big player is the right way to go for them I think. Lets hope she can play good defence and help Perth win some games.

This is a good signing that will look superb if the Lynx get a genuine point guard.
Starks is related to John Starks formerly of the NY Knicks and much like him, has not seen a shot she didn't like. At least we now know who will take the majority of Doccy's shots.
The Lynx are in dire need of a girl that can get the ball over half way so they can actually run some offense for Starks and so Campbell can get her hands on some offensive boards.
Nonetheless, the two imports look positive for the Lynx.

Can't help but think that the new stadium will give everyone associated with
BWA and the Lynx, a bit lift in spirits. Won't embarrass anyone when the imports show up.
Altho Perry Lakes has a huge history, it is a dump of a building as a sports facility.
Court one is still one of the best in Australia but everything else is awful.
Congrats WA fans on your new venue, you waited long enough for it.

I'm sure the imports will still have a quiet chuckle at its small size, as they no doubt do with every stadium in the country compared to the college arenas they play out of, but yes for this fan it will be a massive improvement over the dark, dingy & decrepit sweatbox.

What and where is this new stadium? How long before the lynx play there?

Court one is still one of the best in Australia.[/QUOTE] Surely not, both the Wildcats and Lynx players have complained about it in the past not to mention more than a few SBL teams. Truthordare the new stadium is across the road from the current PL, not sue exactly when but it is suposed to completed at the end of this year I think
Complaints about Court One? Very surprised to hear that.
A proper "sprung court", rare and expensive to construct these days.
There is actually a decent gap between the boards and the ground.
I bet the complaints were for the stadium in general, and rightly so.
I think Court five may also be sprung but wouldn't put monies on that.
Wildcat players used to beg the club to be able to train there and not at Challenge.
The guys suffered many problems after the move from the PEC and their own court.
Wasn't there a story about how that PEC court couldn't be re laid
at Challenge for some safety reasons?
What's the new stadium got?
