The New Boomers team. A Joke?

Now I'm not really and never have been a great follower of the boomers, I do cheer for them any time they play in international competition, but as for the internal workings and the line ups I never really pay much attention. However when I saw this line up, my jaw dropped. You cannot possibly tell me that this is the best 12 guys in the country.

What happened to the likes of Worthington, Barlow, Bruton, Anstey, Newley and others. I'm not that big a follower of the NBL in recent years either, but surely these guys haven't dropped off that much. Some of the guys in the Boomers team I've never even heard there names before.

All the players you mentioned and most of the other big names are unavailable for various reasons. This is a squad of leftovers for a nothing tournament. Gives a few of the lesser lights a chance to show what they can do but realistically only 1 or 2 guys would have a shot at a full strngth squad

Oh ok. I knew there had to be some explanation. I couldn't believe all those guys could be left out. Anyway it's great to see Rhys Carter and Damian Martin getting a shot. Hope they do well.
