What's going on with the Fire this season? From what I understand (and correct me if I am wrong), there is:

Rohanee Cox
Amy Lewis
Kirby Dalgleisgh
Cherie Smith
Tanya Smith
Rachel Flanagan

Aneka Kerr - is she going around again? Hopefully.
Aaroon Edgar? Is playing great in QABL.

Jennifer Crouse of course has retired.

Who else is there?? They need a very good big and PG who can score consistently.

for mine, it's always been about Roey... for as long as she's there, the Fire will be in and around contention.

Her versatility is just amazing across the floor but they will need some cover at the 5 as after watching Tanya Smith in the Waratah this year- I'd be very very worried.

Apparently, they have signed ex-Oklahoma player Leah Rush. Decent forward from what I can recall.

Bad news for Townsville with Cox out for up to 4 months, She will at least miss the first 4 games of the season. I hope she recovers quickly.

I've grave concerns for the Fire this season - firstly Cox is out for the first third of the season at least - but even WITH Cox - who is around to support her?

Dalgleish? Played great in QBL this year, but WNBL is a different animal!
Kerr? Savvy vet, but very limited athletic ability, much better as a role player... ain't getting any younger either.
Cherie Smith? See above (same type of player as Kerr)
Leah Rush? Unproven at WNBL level, and whilst she had an impact on QBL this year, Rebecca Haynes consistently had higher points and rebounds per game (and Haynes is merely a decent impact player of the bench)
Flanagan? Meh.. Would be a great back up PG in my opinion, but starting PG?

Who else is there? Who is going to battle with Batkovic/Cambage/Porter/Penaluna int eh middle? Tanya Smith prehaps? Crickey... could be a long season for Fire fans!
