Does anyone know who Bendigo have picked up in the off season? Their roster looks very short and this year their are some teams with huge height, Unless they pick up a couple of bigs i think they will struggle.

WNBL website says that Marita Payne is playing with the Spirit against China tonight. If she does sign with the Spirit, she does provide some height. However, I think she's also a bit soft and very limited on the offensive end.

So Bendigo are trying to raise 30k to offer Kristi Harrower a new contract for the up-coming WNBL season before 4pm Thursday, Sep 10th.
Bendigo Fans should get out their check books out quickly or their chances to make finals this season will be over.

Kristi alone dragged Bendigo into the 5th and final playoff spot last season but this year it will be tougher as the quality of players in all teams this season are much stronger. Only a few hours to go for Bendigo to offer Kristi a contract, will they raise the money?

Kristi did a great job with last years team to get them to 5th. But this years team looks smaller and many of the other teams have gotten stronger:???:

Not sure if they offered the contract yet, Maybe it would be in Bendigo's best interests to save their money and work with some younger players, cos lets face it even Kristi wouldn't make them championship worthy ths year, There is just to many teams loaded with talent this year.

So new update is they have raised 20k and extended the time limit untill early next week so they can raise another 10k.

So Bendigo has raised the money to offer Kristi a playing contract for the coming season, This is great news for Bendigo and gives them a chance of making the playoffs. I still don't think they can even come close to challanging for the title this year but still, great news for Bendigo.

I only know they have raised enough money, Kristi said she would play for 30k and they have that so i would expect Kristi to stick by her word. She is in the middle of first round playoffs in the WNBA so she may not want to be distracted for a few weeks.

Great news for the Spirit, Kristi has signed for 2 years as a player and as the general manager. I would say look out for Bendigo next year!
