09/10 tv schedule?

does anyone have any idea when the tv schedule for the coming season will be released? ill be tryin to get to as many games as possible, but just for the ones i cant get to...

The only way i ever find out who is playing is by reading the TV guide, I know they only show the one game on abc2 on friday nights and a highlights package of the same game the next day on the abc.
I was actually thinking yesterday how great for the wnbl and women's basketball in Australia it would be if someone like Fox Sports picked up coverage of a few games a week. It worked out great for the profile of the ANZchampionship netball league when Fox Sports covered it 2 years ago, and with the amount of Australian Opals they have playing in the League this year it would have been the perfect year for some extra coverage to happen.

yeah i thought maybe channel 10 might try pic up a couple of games and show it on onehd...

ill just have keep an eye out for the games in the tv guide then i guess...hopefully a deal can be done at some stage to get the league some more exposure...

I forgot about the onehd channel, they may show some games, lets hope they do anyway.

So i just checked the schedule on the wnbl website and in rd 2 Logan vrs Canberra is the only Friday match so it must be the live Friday night game and in rd 7 there is only 1 friday night game between Perth & the AIS so that will also be televised on ABC2 as well. All other rounds have multiple games on the Friday so im not sure which game will be on TV. In round 9 there is no friday game but there is a Wednesday game so im not sure what will happen that week.

Have a close look at the draws for games on Saturday afternoon. I think you will find these are the TV games. The first game is Caps v Bullen at 1pm on Saturday. They will be Live on ABC 1

I watched Live wnbl games every Friday night last year on ABC2 and then they show the replay on Saturday afternoon. I don't think they will be doing it any different this year.

i dont think the tv schedule is right on the wnbl website...it appears to be last seasons still...hmm might have to do a bit more searching...

It might well be but it is also the week 1 TV game this season. Why else would it be on at 1pm on Saturday?????????????????

So the WNBL will no longer show Live Friday night games on the ABC2 this season, I am really dissapointed as I loved watching the live friday night matches, they are showing the Satuarday afternoon matches on ABC1 instead.

I don't like saying "I told you so!" but I did say this some weeks ago.

The ABC has decided to do this and the WNBL had very little say in it.

I think the ABC is looking at making Saturday afternoon a girls psorts day with the WNBL followed by the W League

What you did say is look at the wesite it has the TV Schedule on it, Well you were wrong because for the 10th time it is last years schedule. You never mentioned that the ABC had stopped the usuall friday night TV scheduling. Good guess on your part!

According to the ABC website Saturday's game is live, followed by Adelaide/Bendigo on 10th Oct (live),Sydney/Bulleen on 17 Oct( Delayed ) and Dandenong/Bulleen on 24th Oct ( live ). They have a mix of live and delayed games all at 1PM on Saturdays.

I did get the bit about the schedule wrong but I was right with the timing of the TV games for this season
