Perth vs Sydney

Finaly can't wait to see the new look Perth Lynx suit up, we have played quite well against Sydney ( pretty sure we beat them at home last season) over the last couple of years. Sydney have somewhat bolsterd their roster over the off season and it will be a big ask for the girls opening game. After taking the SBL season off ( injury) I'm looking forward to seeing new captain Mel Marsh back on the court, hopefully the new imports will bring a bit more energy to the team and the Girls have a great game ( a win would be good too) GO LYNX

So, was pretty impressed with the Lynx last night. No win but by 3 quater time the girls were playing good basketball and had they been playing like that in the first half we could have got a win. Both imports took some time to warm up but both played a great second half with Starks the most impressive. For me Ash Gilmore was awesome, not only 10 points and 13 board but she did a lot of those thing that don't show up on the stat sheet that help a team. Was good to see Marsh back playing basketball and I think she did a solid job when she was out there. Sam Norwood was also impressive and worked hard all night. So congrates to Sydney, I think they will be a top 4 team, also well done to all the Lynx players who took the court, Sydney was a big ask to start with and we came oh so close.

I look forward to see how the new imports fire when they have some time to settle in, I do believe the Lynx will have a few good wins at home this season.

By the looks of it Perth did a pretty fair job. Let down by a poor first quarter. Ash Gilmore with a big game for her 10 & 13. Perth might be a little tougher at home this season.
