Haven't seen a thread on him. Obviously, he's a good show to get some decent minutes for the Rockets this year with Yao missing.

He's shown gradual improvement in his 3 pre-season outings so far, as noted in this article:

Andersen's doing well so far. Loved his "Dream Shake" in his second game. Didn't know he had that in him...

Andersen is doing well again today against Bogut's Bucks.

Andersen has 13 points up to half time, including a perfect 4/4 from the field and 5/6 from the free throw line.

Just checked out today's box score and noticed that the Rockets are starting 6-6 Chuck Hayes in the center position. What's up with that?

Anderson finished with 17 points today in 25min. He hit 5/9 from the field and 7/8 from the line.
He is making a serious push for a starter's berth for sure. Chuck Hayes starting at C is a joke IMO

Didn't Hayes start at C during the playoffs last year and do pretty well?
I still don't get it though, surely it's only something you'd do out of necessity (injury) or to change up the game plan if it's not working.

Hayes starts at C, because, despite his lack of height, he's a tough post defender. Strong guy that's tough to move off the block. Obviously any shot blocking is going to be limited and he's not going to be a scorer, so he'll be a career pinch hitter in that role.

Andersen is platying right now against the Raptors. Has 6 points and 4 rebounds in 21min so far half-way through the 4th.
