Apparently this will be available to foxtel subscribers Nov 15.

Does anybody know if this will mean more access to live NBA games, or whether it is just a simulcast of ESPN on foxtel?

I don't know exactly but I read somewhere that it will be a stream of ESPN 360 from the US and supposedly it will only be available via Foxtel Download but you won't actually be able to download it.

I'd say no, since the additional content available on the service are overflow events that don't make it to the main ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU line-up in the US, and ESPN only hold the rights to a few NBA games per week.

It will come in handy when basketball is pre-empted over here for another sport however, for example on October 24 when a pre-season double-header airs on 360 while college football hogs the main AU HD/SD channels.

Has One HD released their schedule for the NBA opening weekend
