... is Sedale Threatt Sr.
My youngest, Patrick, has been invited to try out for the Pacers u12s rep team ( he's only 8, mind you) & he has been accepted. Its just a matter of whether we can swing the fees etc this season.
Anyways.. Sedale took the last half hour of their first full training session on Sunday morning. This guy is focused! This guy is great to watch working with the kids.

Maybe this is a better level for him than at the SEABL level. ;)
Way out of his depth there.
I am sure his extensive experience will help the kids out immensely.
Hope the family are well Joe.

I cant for the life of me see how a player with the extensive experience of Sedalle in the NBA could fail to have a team up and successful. I know the Spectres weren't a success under him, but why?

As is the case with a lot of Americans that come out here, they talk a pretty good game. When it comes down to actually getting on court and developing players, they tend to lack the knowledge to teach kids how to play etc. That being said, they are very good at keeping kids interested and entertained, so you do need to weigh up the good with the bad there. The commentators on One HD last night were singing his praizes though when the replay of the Jazz/Rockets Western Conference Final was on!
Tough spot for the Pacers to be in out there, with a number of bigger associations really doing a lot of work in the last few years to improve. Keilor and Diamond Valley being probably the best examples. There are about 6 associations within 20 minutes of each other, making it difficult to keep players around.
