I for one am supremely happy the girls have broken the duck.

It would have been much uglier for the AIS had the team (Lynx) not been coming off three days in Darwin. The Perth girls did fade towards the end because of that, and the coach opted to give some of the bench a run (confirmed quote - chatted after the game).

Massive game from Tess Madgen though. This youngster, in her second year at the AIS, is going to be a superstar. I just hope there is a WNBL franchise willing to offer her a decent contract so the league doesn't lose her to overseas options.

Good work guys.

Shame your photographer didn't get a snap of Starks riding the back of one of the AIS players. That would have been a great snap! :D

Congrats to the Lynx http://www.ozhoopsboards.com/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

Would have liked to see that one, but didn't quite make it back to Perth in time to get there.

Thanks again for your coverage, LMSC.

Great win for the Lynx, great to see the whole team get on and put something on rhe board. One of my highlights was Tucker's big 3 on the buzzer early in the game, Starks was good for MVP and Moyle much deserved her coaches award. Bec Mercer hit some big threes for us, Mel Marsh had a good game and Sam Norwood continues her good form to name a few. The only downer I can think of is we were at the wrong end of a 30-8 foul count. Well done girls

Congrats to the Lynx. And good to see young NSW girl Sheraton Flood getting an opportunity there out west. Solid player and excellent junior player from Sydney who played for Hornsby ABA when she was only a pup- I guess she still is at 17 i think. Would have been a great spectacle if her cousin Ash Karaitaina was still at the AIS and they played each other- those two had some great battles in juniors over here- but always spent the whole time before and after games laughing and carrying on while visibly seeming to try and take each other's head off during games!
