Major Shakeup in FNBL
by T-Rich, FNBL Insider
Insider has got word from a close team source that a major trade is brewing in the FNBL "Originals" League. Word is that the Wingmen GM, Madcat, has become disillusioned with the direction of the team and its constant in-fighting. Rumours have been abound for weeks that "cliques" have formed within the team, and some there are even claims that the players have lost all faith in their GM. The likes of Daryl Corletto may have right to question, with his lack of playing time behind brick-layers such as Chappell, Copeland & Henare. The were also rather loud murmurs regarding Sammy Mac's donut last week, which seems to have been the final straw. Madcat's response? The following blockbuster will happen:
WINGMEN TRADE:
Matt Campbell
Sam Mackinnon
SHAZBATS TRADE:
Rashad Tucker
Peter Crawford
One must question whether Madcat has let home town loyalty cloud his judgement. Time will tell.
The Shazbats' GM, Stanley, may have shown himself to be quite the opportunist. However, making such a move while sitting pretty in 3rd place may be too risky a policy. According to another close source, Stanley feels that the team record is masking deeper problems. Notably, increasing tensions between rival groups of players within the team - in particular, Simon Kerle vs Everyone Else. Stanley hopes the injection of fresh faces will help ease the tension in the locker room.
TRADE VERDICT: Stanley the winner, unless Rashad can return to last year's form.
