Just a quick question -
I am doing up my NBL spreadsheet now that the fixture is out. It includes the following features:
1. Plain copy of the schedule (as per the downloadable one on the NBL website)
2. A separate copy of the schedule (Draw page) where you enter in the score from each game. You can also choose a team on this page and all their games are highlighted (Bold and Black). The times will change according to the team you choose
3. Ladder (Team name, Wins, Losses, Games Behind, Streak, Home record, Away record, Won%, Points%) with a button that automatically sorts it. Ladder page also has a clock that will countdown to the next game (for whichever team you choose from the Draw page)
4. Roster page with each team, coash's name and players' names
5. Playoffs page with the top 4 (I am assuming it is the same format as last season) - this page also has a table that has how many titles each team has won, as well as a year by year grand final result
6. A Head to Head page with each team and their corresponding games for each opponent and round (blank cell turns green for a win and red for a loss)
7. A Game by Game page with each team (kinda like an individual schedule for each team) which shows the round number, whether it is a Home or Away game, opponent, game score, whether its a win on loss and current streak
Now this is the change I made for last season and it was very detailed:
8. An individual page for PPG, RPG, APG, BPG, SPG, TOPG, FTM, FTA etc. The thing is, you have to make sure you enter in the correct stats for each category for each team/player and game. There is a stat page linked to this and when you sort the ladder via the button on the ladder page, it will sort every stat page and will display the top 10 leaders for each category on the stat page.
It is pretty sweet, but it becomes time consuming, especially if teams sign a new player or sack a player (you have to re-arrange the team list for this). I was thinking about just simplifying it and just doing a PPG page instead of every stat.
I was wondering if there are any other aspects of the game that you guys think would improve the spreadsheet? I can'think of anything, so I thought I would just ask everyone.
Once I have finished it, I will put it on GoogleDocs for everyone to use.
Hope this post wasn't too long-winded.
