Ok here's the list of teams this year, does anyone have any final standings from last year to sort them out? I need the bottom two sides in Div 1 (alreayd have the top 2 sides in Div 2, which I believe were myself and Mac).

Stanley (team name TBA)
Leon #5 (team name TBA)
McKinley Norsemen (Pilon v1)
Skindog's ConnoHawks (Skindog)
Inhalers (Anok)
New Schoolers (Lethal Vertical)
The Revolving Turnstiles (Cousin of Topcat)
Paris Reds (Moonshadow)
Growlers (T-Rich)
Convicts (Stumps)
SOLAT (Fly)
Pretty in Pink (Gretchen)
University of Thomas (Glove)
Funky Nah Nahs (McTavish)
The Invincibles (kingant)
Mike's Warriors (giantfan)

Also we have 16 teams, it would be nice to get 20 again, so we can have two divisons of 10. Tell your friends ;)

i dunno. two divs of 8 could be ok. i like the idea of a bigger free agent pool.

I like more teams :), but two of 8 will do. Maybe just one more each for two divisons of 9?

Stan still has it online.

Looks like Glove and Madcat had the two bottom teams, though Glove may be saved from relegation by Doctor E's withdrawal and Madcat's apparent lack of desire to participate again.

i reckon demote the bottom two left from the 8 originals. promote the two highest left from the pus-guzzling swines of division Z. 8 & 8 would rulezor

maybe someone should post a sticky in the nbl forum if we really want a few more people

No, Madcat and Doctor E have already put their hands up to be the two "relegated teams". If we end up going 9 vs 9, then Glove can go too, as he was relegated by last year's standing rules, but I don't think it would be fair to relegate anybody who finished in the top 8 and thus secured their spot for next season under the rules as they were set :D

Agreed. So Mac and myself are into division one, and division two = newbies + losers ;)

doesn't that mean that i get promoted to Div I this year as Grovedale Donkeys were runner up in division 2 last year????
Inspired by the potential move up in standings the donkeys have been sold to a new owner who takes things much less seriously and has choosen to re name the team "Drunk Dunkers".
I'll drink to that

Leon is correct! Grovedale were 2nd in div 2! So Mac stays in Div 2, Leon is promoted.

The executive decision has been made - all promotions and relegations will stand.

Hence,
University of Thomas and Wingmen will be demoted and Drunk Donkeys (Previously Grovedale Donkeys) and McKinley Norsemen will play Division 1.

Skindog, with Doctor E (who wasn't relegated) quitting, dropping Glove doesn't leave us with 10 teams in Div 1.

I am aware of that. At this stage we are going to go with 10 Division 1 teams and 8 Division 2 teams.

With the return nomination of "Team Latts", Division 1 is now closed and ready for take-off. Draft to be held by MSN on Sunday 28 August, commencing at 8pm EST.

So who are the 10 Div 1 teams? I can only think of 9.

Can't we do it on these Boards for the rest of this week, a suggestion which has had significant support, then do an MSN later in the week if we need to quickly finish it off?

I was under the impression that CoT was a Div 1 player, however if he's not, then I'm happy to go back to 9+9.

As for the MSN draft, I believe it's the quickest way to get it out of the way, rather than try to find a time for us all mid-week before Friday 7.30pm.

Dawg..

My weekend is pretty screwed.

Im just happy to get w run really, If I email you a list (ala pre-draft order like the Yahoo Fantasy NBA) and just leave it with you, will that work..

If im around then sweet, if not at least that'll get my picks out of the way and make things run quicker.

We were going to do Division 2 at either the same time if possible...if you can make it at some time that would probably be a good thing.

It's also the most likely to result in people not turning up. The comp dies if only one person in the division fails to draft. Let's set a time for late next week and try and get as much done before then as we can. Even if it's just the first 4-5 rounds, most people will have their starting lineups.

You may want to PM Skindog and reinforce your support for it because he's steadfastly refusing to consider it right now. We all know how lame these comps are when people don't even draft their own players.

Surely me and madcat can stay and 2 who dont serve to be there can drop back ?

Can I ask how back to back top 4 finishes in Div 1 results in being demoted to Div 2 for my SOLAT / Bettermen boys?

Is this like Golf where lowest score wins or summin?

:?

I only ask due to the format of original participants being in league 1 unless demoted previously - if it was a random reshuffle I have no issue.
