I'm likeing my team, though am not sure what Worthingtons role and minutes will be like at Sydney.
Am hoping Horvath stays healthy because big bad Greg Vanderjagt aint scaring anyone in the post.
Here's hoping Odell Bradley is the second coming of Brian Wethers NOT Chris Brown!!!

Skindog, what are you doing with my team?
I asked for either Eversteyn, Smith, Pearce or Behrendoff for my final pick. This is a copy of the word doco I sent:
Pick 92:
Braith cox
Tommy Greer
And for my final selection
1. Jason Eversteyn
2. Matt Smith
3. Miles PEarce
4. Behrendoff
I specifically did this so I'd get a centre with my last pick, I just wanted Cox OR Greer whoever was available....but I ended up with both. Pearce and Behrendoff both ended up getting drafted after my final pick, and I end up with One Centre.
I gotta say this is unfair.

Skindog, you're a good bloke, and you've done a great job so far with the FNBL but you made a mistake with my selection, the instructions were pretty clear cut. I think the fairest scenario would be if I get Miles Pearce.

Why don't you just pick Pearce off the unrestricted free agent list (which is where all non-draftees go).
It won't affect your waiver wire position.
EDIT: I didn't realise that the Houndawg took him with the last pick. To be fair to Skinner, it's easy to see why he interpreted your PM the way he did. Is Pearce that much better than the other undrafted centres?

Pearce was drafted

Because he was drafted by another team, below the pick from which I instructed Skindog to select him for me.

I'll have to have a look...
But I disagree, the instructions were clear cut. Pick 92: two names.....then "for my final selection" with 4 numbered dot points. Obviously I'm biased, but it seems like those instructions are pretty obvious to me.

Lethal Vertical
29-08-2005, 10:01 AM
Oh well, lets disagree on that but we're happy now because Skindog changed a rule on Tragardh so that Hounddawg was happy to do a trade for Pearce/Greer, which is what I wanted in the draft, and everyone's happy. Good on you Skindog, for approving a fair solution so that no one misses out on the players they want :) . Oh and Dawg for suggesting it :P , and me for hounding Skindog about it hahahaha.
I gotta say though, on paper my team doesn't look as good as I'd hoped. You never know, Corletto Motts and Newley, because of their age or team situation, should all be in for big improvements stats wise on last season, thats what I hoped for when I Picked them. Took the risk, lets play the game.

motts will start glove, but he'll be splitting time at the 4 with stiff and hoare. he'll probably get a few minutes at the 5 too. i dont reckon he'll score a lot, but his fg% should be good and his rebs/blocks useful.

Lethal Vertical

Yep, he is favourite to start at the 4 spot. So, compared to last season where he got minimal minutes, he's shaping up well. I'd expect him to get around 20-25 minutes a game. Stats wise, he's a 61% FG shooter over his career, so he'll help you lots there. His FT% is shocking. Doesn't shoot threes. I'd expect him to grab a heap of rebounds, probably around 6 a game, to go with 8 or 9 points, 1 assists and a block.

I want to know how stringent this league will be in regards to positions especially considering we have lost a player due to having 12 teams in the league.
The league is very guard top heavy so the rule of having 2 guards, 2 forwards and a centre in your 5 is virtually impossible to enforce week after week with byes and the likes.
Most NBL teams run with a 3 guard lineup, so why can't we, especially since our roster has been reduced.
I was unaware we were only drafting 9 rounds until midway thru the draft and also unaware that multi positional players were being typecast into a main position. I had based my team list on the team rosters listed on NBL.coma
Rashad Tucker is a prime example. NBL website have him as a G/F and I had originally planned to play Rashad Tucker as predominantly a SF but he is listed as a G on Skindogs list, so that has screwed up my roster as I now have 5 guards with only 1 F listed on the FA's list.
Clarification on this would be appreciated.

Actually, only two of your eight active players need to be forwards.

You can, as long as you have two forwards in your eight, which all NBL teams would have.
