just looking over the stats sheet now.
is it just me or is it calculating 3Pt% as the category?
when it should be 3PMade

Good call, it definitely should be threes MADE without regard to percentages.

Disagree - 3 point percentage IMHO is a preferred stat.
Having said that we can have a vote as to which stat the FNBL minions prefer...so follow the instructions here (http://www.ozhoopsboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=4872&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=) and vote for what you want.

Like i mentioned in the PM.
Fantasy Basketball is always 3PM (MADE), its one of those categories where the likes of Iversonish 5/18 are decent.
It also affected the way i drafted.

Agreed.
If for no other reason than thats how the teams were chosen. Changes like this should be debated in the OFFSEASON!

I also agree with all mentioned above. 3's made are what we need to be going by

I am not aware of a single rotisserie league in the world that uses 3P% rather than 3PM. 3P% is already taken into account in FG% -- you're just double counting it if you use 3P% as a category, which makes no sense at all.

I hadn't thought of that, that is another good reason. I guess you are double counting anyway though with points and 3p made.

At the moment the vote is 7-0 in favour of keeping 3-pointers made...each side has its' advantages, and yes, I do give credit to those who state that every other rotisserie league in the world does 3-pointers made...but why not be different??
Anywho...I shall abide by the vote.

people though will want to change because of the team they have, not what they might believe is good for the competition, as Stan has just shown..

Actually...I haven't received any emails from those set to lose...such as Hellcat, MacTavish...however Leon #5 has voted for the change...even though he'd lose 6 points and move down another spot. :?
Gretchen also said no change...even though she would lose out too :?

Are there any other "differences" you are planning to implement mid-season without telling any of us? :?

I don't even know if I'd win or lose...in fact I was halfway through writing my PM to you before I even considered this. Maybe some of them were the same. As I said, its the principle, dont change the foundations on which the competition is built when you are partway through the season. Enough said really.
And after that you can talk about double counting and the fact that this is how all Fantasy leagues are done.

Not that I can think of. For what it's worth I wasn't aware of the 3Pt Made category (as opposed to 3Pt %) until you let me know...as I have said before, I prefer 3Pt% as it punishes those bricklayers (certain purple-and-gold players come to mind) who simply bomb away and occasionally get lucky. :?

I can't imagine who you're referring to, given that Bruton hit 41.6% from downtown last season, with the other major bombers being Smith at 38.6%, Sheridan at 37.7% and Martin at 35.2%.
Even more inexplicably, the comment is coming from somebody who supports the team whose appearance on the schedule prompts every team to start perfecting their zone defence!

I can't believe we're even having a vote to try and change a rule midseason. Can we vote midseason to kick out whomever is leading the comp, so the rest of us can all move up a rank?
