View Full Version : Lack of Trades?

I'm beginning to think that everyone in League 2 either must be 100% happy with their teams, or don't have the balls to pull the trigger on a trade unless there's absolutely no risk to them.
I've had discussions with a number of people in League 2 via pm, including people doing a whole lot worse than me, and despite the proposed player swaps being pretty even in my opinion, it seems to me that no one has the guts to actually do a deal!
Jeez people - as was expressed to me - it's just a game, so let's make it interesting instead of sitting on our hands afraid to do the deal for fear we might f*** up.
On offer from the Revolving Turnstiles:
CJ, Shanahan, Horvath (for someone else of big value), MacGregor, Kelly, maybe Black.... surely there's someone there you want.

speaking only for myself every effort was made to work out some sort of trade with CoT. It seems that a "blockbuster" trade is what he was after, and not everyone in League 2 needs a "blockbuster". By the way if anyone is interested in swapping a gaurd from my team for a decent forward from theirs, drop me a line :)

Leon, if you want to air *specific* trade talk in public, that's fine. Let's discuss.
Your original offer was Brad Davidson for Scotty MacGregor, leaving me with only Larry Davidson (who barely plays) to replace SMac as a starting forward. I'm then left with a roster absolutely stacked with guards!
I would have the following:
Forwards: Hoare and L. Davidson.
Centres: Brannen & Horvath
Guards: Black, Markovic, CJ, B. Davidson, Kelly.
The trade would have left me desperately short at forward, so I suggested we widen the trade to include some more guys. Horvath, CJ, MacGregor & Shanahan for Dwight, B. Davidson and Corletto looked the goods and solved both our probs - I got blocks and a low turnover guard, you got 4 guys that all shoot better than your current entire team is doing, and Horvath keeps your boards you lose with Dwight gone. :? Sure, i'm still down to using L. Davidson but the upside is that I still get Horvath's level of rebounding in Dwight, and get blocks too.
Anyway, you've gotta spend money to make money and I guess i'm taking the same tack with my FNBL dealings.
:)
Opinions on the proposed trade?

If you don't want to trade Scotty for a gaurd as stated in the Trading Block post then change what you are asking. Not my fault if trading him leaves you with only Davidson, take him off the block mate if you don't want to lose him
